Deadnet is an immersive role-playing game that blends the boundaries of reality and fantasy, plunging players into a gripping zombie apocalypse scenario. Set in a post-apocalyptic world where the undead had spread wildly through the lands, Deadnet challenges participants to navigate this harrowing landscape using a combination of systematic rolls and digital interactions. All while played to a chilling bespoke soundtrack.
Players assume the roles of their digital counterparts, tasked with adapting to the new ways of life, forging alliances, and rebuilding society back from the brink of destruction, all while evading the unyielding factions that now inhibit the world. The game leverages online tools such as Tabletop Simulator and Roll20 and with its innovative approach to storytelling and a dynamic player-driven narrative, Deadnet immerses gamers in a chilling, adrenaline-fueled adventure that keeps them on the edge of their seats, blurring the lines between fiction and reality like never before.
THE MUTATION RAIDS
2021 - 2034
Alpha's closing moments brought the stronger mutations to their limits. Many of them, under her control, perished. The standard zeds became easy targets and were soon eradicated but many of the straggler mutations throughout the island reverted back to their original animalist states.
Potential sentience was deemed too dangerous to allow to roam free. Fireteams were sent wide and far to eliminate mutations and with the last of these wild abominations being destroyed, communities walls would soon follow.
Between 2032 and 2034, there had been only one instance of a mutant, a queen. Now 12 years later, the threat seems all but gone and people have returned to some sort of normality.
FACTIONS
Oakren Island still hosts many factions, some in partnership with Ulliance and some still acting as rebellious outliers.
Overall, many see their territory as boundless. Collaboration between communities is efficient and common and those who try for self gain are swiftly reminded of the times they had left behind.
